Probably cheapo labor is to blame. My package did come with seeds, thankfully. On the back of the seed packet it said (paraphrasing) "This is different than other herbs, please consult instructions" Guess what, it did not come with instructions! Well at least they did not forget the seeds...... I googled "chia cat grass" and got the amazon page; there are instructions for your cat grass in the product description right here on amazon. What a ghetto product... I don't expect this thing to grow at all, and I don't care. Just thought I'd mention how ghetto the company is, how they routinely forget to include instructions or even seeds. The planter is exceedingly cheap. It came straight out of the package and had several chips, plus the characters do not really look like sylvester or tweety. The advertising is misleading (this is not surprising) This is a friggin CHIA PET so what do you expect? To summarize, Chia Pet products are as crappy as ever, do not get this for someone you respect. This is a crappy product and best suited as a gag gift 3 of 3 found this review helpful: Cat LOVES it, 2007-01-03 I wasn't too sure if my cat would like it or not, but after she sniffed it for a few seconds, she couldn't stop eating it! She loves it. She purrs and meows for it as if it's a treat! I'm super impressed and will definitely keep buying this for her once all the grass stops growing. A must for cats! 2 of 3 found this review helpful: Nice to have - cats like it, 2006-04-08 Cats were eating the grass too fast, so it never really got to the point where it could regrow what they had eaten. You can order refills, but it's easier to just get them in a whole foods store.
